We are seeking people from all walks of life to bring their experience and skills to our Board of Trustees.
As a Trustee, you will become a valued member of the Trust and positively influence how we shape its future. The Core aims to have a Board which represents our widest community, is culturally diverse, balanced in gender and reflects a range of ages and socio-economic backgrounds.
We are an inclusive organisation, committed to fair recruitment, induction, training, succession planning and equality of opportunity. We particularly welcome applications from those whose backgrounds are currently under-represented in the Arts. We want to encourage socio-economic diversity within our workforce, as well as representation from Black, Asian, or other Minority Ethnic groups and/or people who identify as D/deaf and disabled.
The Core at Corby Cube is a user of the disability confident scheme, and we guarantee to interview all disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria for any of our vacancies.
Volunteer for Us
Join our team as a volunteer in a variety of roles: front of house, within our marketing team and as part of our Get Involved programme. Work as an usher for our shows or cinema screenings, help the marketing team promote The Core’s activities in your community or at events around the county, or support young people as they get involved with workshop activity.
Over the last 5 years 186 volunteers have given their time through a variety of roles, including working with the Front of House and Meet and Greet teams, assisting with the Creative Projects taking place such as weekly workshops, and helping the Marketing team with publicity.
“This is a great thing to do – I love being a volunteer at The Core. I’ve seen some great acts perform. It’s great fun” Lynn Fairburn
“I would urge anyone interested in theatre and films to volunteer. You get to see a variety of shows you would probably never have thought to see. You meet lovely people, both volunteers and the general public… it’s a great way to socialise and feel you are doing something worthwhile”Janet Askew, volunteerDownload a Volunteering registration form
