Wednesdays 5pm – 6.30pm (ages 12 – 18)

These weekly, term-time sessions are led by theatre practitioner Jenny Sheehan and members have the chance to experience a wide range of performance techniques whilst having fun and building confidence. Playing a wide range of drama games, participants will work together to create new performances and a showcase as part of Grow Festival in February 2020 and a Murder Mystery Evening.

Price: £80 per term (term starts Wed 15 January)

Core Comedians

Wednesdays 6.30pm – 8pm (ages 13 – 18)

Find your unique comedy voice by working with professional comedians at our weekly sessions. Explore different styles of comedy, create characters, write and rehearse a set/sketches and then have the opportunity to perform with young people and professional acts at our regular family friendly Bangers & Mash Comedy Club. Our participants have also previously enjoyed Q&As with comedians such as Milton Jones and Sara Pascoe.

Core Comedians will perform as part Bangers And Mash Comedy Club on Sat 28 March.

Youth Advisory Panel

(ages 11 – 25)

Make your voice heard!
We’re looking for 11 to 25 year olds who are interested in becoming leaders in the arts industry to join our panel.

For Autumn 2019 the group will meet once a month and focus on programming for the final Grow Festival in February 2020.

As part of the group you will:
• Have insight into The Core’s programming for young people
• Develop an understanding of how creative, marketing, technical and financial elements come together to create an event
• Be mentored by members of The Core staff team
• Attend industry events and other festivals across the UK
