In anticipation of a busy season ahead and a four-week run of A Christmas Carol, we are looking for more accommodation to add to our ‘Digs List’.
Performers who come to the theatre with touring productions often need to find somewhere to stay locally for a night or two, and for bigger productions like the Christmas show they can need somewhere for a number of weeks. The Core is compiling an up to date list to provide to visiting actors and musicians with details of potential places to stay.
We are keen to hear about a range of types of accommodation, available on a rental basis, from a room or rooms in someone’s house, to whole flats or houses and Bed and Breakfast establishments. Ideally the properties should be in Corby but locations further afield could be considered if there are good transport links.
General Manager Lucinda Hill commented: “We have an ongoing need to find accommodation for visiting performers, but with this year’s Christmas show being a bigger production than normal this seemed the time to refresh and expand our digs list. There will be a mix of male and female actors looking for somewhere to stay. It’s a difficult time of year to be away from friends and family so we hope that the people of Corby will be able to make them feel welcome and make their time in the town feel special. In particular we would love to hear from anyone who has a 4 bedroom house available to rent from Sat 3 December to Sun 1 January.”
Anyone renting accommodation to members of the cast of A Christmas Carol will be in for an extra special treat, since they will receive an invitation to attend the show as a guest on the opening weekend.
