With Christmas just around the corner, we are pleased to once again launch our Make A Memory appeal.
In Corby, 26.4% of children* are living in poverty and many families struggle to afford the expenses of Christmas. Here at The Core, we are inviting customers to help us provide free tickets for families in need to make special memories together this festive season. Customers are being invited to add a gift-aided donation of £5 when booking tickets online or at our ticket office. For every £5 donated, we will match it to provide a free ticket to see our Christmas performance, Swiss Family Robinson.
Joe Flavin, Director of The Core, said: “Seeing how well the Corby community rallies around and supports our annual Make A Memory campaign is truly inspiring year on year and testament to that brilliant sense of pride and togetherness in the community that Corby is known for. The show this year is a real treat for whole families and the scheme means that every child in our community can be afforded the opportunity to see it, regardless of circumstance”.
Chief Executive, Jo Gordon added: “We’re very grateful to everyone who gave so generously to this brilliant campaign in Corby last year. This is a chance for our audiences to make someone’s Christmas extra special and really hope that those who can spare a little extra this Christmas will consider making a donation again this year”.
The Core is working with the Northamptonshire Community Foundation this year which enables us to reach even more children and young people this Christmas.
