Virtual Reality Project Call Out: Paid Opportunity for Actors

We are on the look out for 3 actors for an upcoming Virtual Reality Project.

As part of 360 Fest, a digital festival this Autumn 2021, The Core at Corby Cube are undertaking a project to explore 360 degree Virtual Reality Theatre making with 5 local playwrights and 5 local Directors.

Thinking 360 will feature 5 x 10 minute plays that will be filmed in 360 degrees and experienced by an audience via VR headsets as well as online in Autumn 2021. The plays will be filmed in multiple outdoor locations over a flexible 5 day shoot schedule with advance prep taking place indoors in the theatre.

We are seeking 3 performers to be part of this exciting new project at The Core and require actors to fit the following characteristics:

Male in their 50’s
Female in their 20’s
Female in their 20’s/30’s (please note this role will only appear in one play and is only required for 2 days on site, meaning a reduced fee applies)

Performers will be needed to perform in up to three of the five plays and will be required in Corby for a total of 6 days between the 4th and 15th October 2021.

Successful applicants will receive scripts by the 27th September. There is one day for rehearsals for each 10-minute play. Rehearsals will take place from the 4th to the 8th October. It is requested that performers be off book or as close to off book as possible by the 4th October.

Filming will take place on the week commencing 11th October, dates you’ll be required will be confirmed on acceptance of role.

The project fee for performers is £1,000 including travel expenses. Additional support with accommodation costs can be provided.

All scenes will be filmed outdoors in Corby Town and surrounding estates.
