As lockdown eases for some of us, we wanted to give you an update from everyone at The Core.
Despite being closed for nearly 5 months, it’s been a busy time at The Core while we’ve stayed connected to as many of our communities and audiences as possible. We have moved our classes for young people online and helped them to create some brilliant snippet videos of their lockdown experiences , we’ve had numerous cuppas with local and national artists about what happens next and have introduced our Core Calls programme, where we have called and taken calls from people throughout the county, with many moving, funny, hilarious and heart-breaking conversations along the way.
As local businesses begin to open up it’s been fantastic to see more people out and about in our town as shops, cafes and pubs reopen. We are hoping to update you on our reopening plans very soon – watch out for news on our social media feeds and in your inbox. We’re busy making plans to bring back our young people and community groups as soon as we can this autumn.
Returning to shows and live events may take a little longer because as things stand there is no date from the Government about when live performance indoors can return without social distancing. Therefore we are continuing to suspend all performances in the immediate future. We are currently contacting customers for all shows up to Saturday 31 October. Where possible, we are rescheduling for dates in 2021 and all existing ticket-holders will be guaranteed their seat in the new date.
If you have a booking for any show before Saturday 31 October you don’t need to do anything at this moment. You will receive an email from us directly with further details. If you’re unable to make the rescheduled date you can opt to receive e-vouchers valid for 18 months, or request a refund. If you have any queries about your booking you can email [email protected] and they will get back to you as soon as possible. Please avoid calling our Box Office at this time.
Thank you to everyone who has chosen to retain their tickets for a rescheduled show, we’re hugely grateful and look forward to welcoming you back to The Core again as soon as we’re able to do so.
