A creative, inspiring and interactive festival that has been developed, delivered and created by local young people, Shakespearience Corby takes over The Core for the day offering fun and exciting ways to engage with Shakespeare that has taken stimulus from Corby itself with an array of visual arts, performances and ways to get involved.

You can enjoy contemporary dance pieces from Core Dancers, a physical theatre interpretation of Romeo And Juliet by Core Actors, a beautiful piece that connects local stories to the works of Shakespeare from Core Ensemble, exciting pop-up plays in and around the building, exhibitions of local artwork and lots of family friendly themed activities to take part in.

All of the festival performances and activities take place during both the morning and afternoon sessions. We recommend you arrive at the start of either session to get the most from your experience. Each session kicks off with a community created piece of flashmob‑style movement.

Shakespearience Corby has been developed in partnership with Scufflebox Theatre Company, Impulse Collective, Lodge Park Academy as part of the EMerge festivals happening across the East Midlands. It is supported by The Mighty Creatives and The Spirit of 2012.
